Goodbye

Its getting very close to the start of a new tour, which means Mr C will be leaving me for around 8 months.
As you can imagine its not the easiest of farewells.
But on the plus side I get to travel to him most weekends.
Even then I usually have to depart when he's in a show, so if we are lucky we get to say goodbye............ other times he goes back to his caravan to find I've already gone.
Mr C has great facial expressions and the look on his face as im leaving is the one look that I remember for days.
But as they say " Absence makes the heart grow fonder"!!

                                                                 The don't go face!!!!!

Friends

I have been very lucky to have met some truly lovely people whilst visiting the Circuses that Mr C performs with.
And most of the people I have have met have become great friends.
I'm not going to name any names as they know who they are!!
I would like to say a huge "Thank You" to our lovely photographer friends who have taken some amazing photos of us both!!

Gourmet Delights

Since becoming Mrs C  I have discovered that I really enjoy cooking.
In fact, we both do.
We love experimenting with new dishes altough we do have our favorites that we make again and again!
When we have guests I always make them a Baileys Cheesecake and it always proves to be a big hit!
We also had fun decorating cakes like Big tops and we also made a cake with Mr C's Clown face on it.
He makes a delightful Seafood Spaghetti and in true Clown fashion he also makes a terrible mess!

                                                                 Baileys Cheesecake!!

I will be sure to post pics of our Gourmet Delights as we make them!!

Caravan Living

I never thought I would ever adapt or get used to life in a caravan ........... I surprised everyone mainly myself!!
Just before my first caravan stay, I did find myself going all girly and asking if I could plug my GHD's in, which I now know ....... you can!!
I usually traipse up for my weekends with suitcase full of more than I will actually use ( my mentality there is it's always better to be prepared) and I obviously like to make the effort to look good for my man.
But this year im going to adapt to minimalist packing, thus saving us tripping over a suitcase and my back not being jarred by lugging a huge case with me on the journey!!
The worst part of caravans for me is when its extreme winds and you can feel it rocking from side to side and then you look out of the window and the Circus tent looks like its ready to take flight!!
The last time it was really windy I was petrified and trying to get some sleep.............. so Mr C decided it was amusing to sing "Rock a bye baby" to me!! (Not his smartest move).
With limited space, comes limited kitchen utensils, last summer when I had the wonderful urge for Pimms o clock, I dashed home from the supermarket to be met with the dilemma of what to serve my Pimms in, as you can see from my picture, we coped!!

                                                        Pimms O Clock Caravan Style!

One of the nicest things is the view you get from the window, I really have looked out on some beautiful sights and its great to just say............ lets have our dinner outside tonight and really take in the beauty.
As great as it all is its always great to get back home to the dog, central heating and 24 hour electric!!

In the Spotlight

Mr C is not the only one on the stage!
Early in 2011 after 12 years of hiding a certain talent away I got offered a life changing opportunity and I thank my lucky stars I faced up to the challenge!!
One very cold February night a very nervous Mrs C got back onstage as a singer!
I was very lucky to have the chance to sing with a world class Meat Loaf Tribute act!

                                                           This was my debut!!!

I was lucky enough to be invited by the man himself to join his team of performers, so between my full time job and my "Clown Organizing" you may well well see me singing with the amazing Terry Nash and TN Tributes.
I am slowly building a video library of my performances, which can now be viewed on YouTube. Please contact me if you are interested in booking us for an event.
Spaces in the diary are filling up, but we will try our hardest to become available to you and will tailor make the Tribute act to suit your venue etc!

The making of a Clown

When people find out what he does for a living and after I've got the obligatory shocked look or laugh i am always asked "Why a Clown"?
I have just one answer "its in his blood".
From the age of 3 after his Mum took him to see his first Circus, he knew he wanted to be a Clown.
Throughout our school years he would spend his spare time (and school lesson time) working on tricks, gags, clown make up, logos, costumes and props.
Attending Clown Conventions, Circuses and starting to Clown at childrens party's, he was getting himself established at an early age!
I will also hasten to add he was indeed the class clown, you could always guarantee that where the laughter was........... my clown was!! (in fact he often caused the laughter with his jokes or tricks).
We grew up ( and still reside) in a small seaside town on the south coast, which has a small funfair at the seafront.
Luckily for Mr C the funfair is owned by a world famous circus family, in our school years he got some work with them clowning and such and then when he old enough they literally let him "Run away with the Circus"!

How it all started

You may think this is a very odd Blog!!!
Granted, it is. I love my life as its far from normal!!
You may be wondering all about my being a Clowns girlfriend and how it all came about.
We were actually childhood sweethearts and after our lives moving in different directions when you leave school, we found we were reunited by a certain social networking site, a couple of bad relationships and pure curiosity of seeing each other after many years!
My first trip to the Circus was everything and more than I had imagined.
Watching my boyfriend going through the process of applying his make up was a mixture of odd and fascinating.
Then seeing him in the ring, wow!!
I was brimming with pride, especially when I got little cheeky smiles from my own Clown!!
So from there Mrs C was made.
And a year and a half later I have found myself travelling the country all in the name of love.
I now help with most aspects behind the scenes, from prop buying to jokes in his acts.
I may moan from time to time but I really do enjoy it!!
So from here on I will share the highs and lows on my life as Mrs Clown!!
I hope you will all enjoy it!!

Mrs C xx
